Moo's Finally Made It

Well it seemed like they would never come but they finally did. I could not be happier with them. I also ordered some with my little robots see my flickr link on the right to see them. I have had Monday and today off from my day job which has been really nice. I do wish I had the chance to be a stay at home mom. Lately my daughter tells me I don't need to go to work. It would be nice it would be nice. Hope everyone is having a great week.

Still No Moo for Me

Every day I run to our mailbox to see if my cherished cards have arrived to no avail. Where could you be my little moos. I did have a spectacular weekend thou I got to take some baby pictures of my good friends brand new little boy. And pick up the new Stephanie Sersich book in person and get it signed at a demo at Blue Moon. Dustin Tabor also was there and did a demo I bought the coolest beads from him. And even swung by the whole bead show before the demo and picked up some vintage stuff. To top it off on Sunday I got to make some new beadies. I hope every ones weekend was just as good.

Robot Moo Cards

I have the worst problem with going though cards. Or shall I say not going though cards first I ordered 250 adorable fancy pants beads business cards. With my phone number on them. Then I ordered another 250 Sugar Toppers fondant cards with no phone number but tasty fondant treats on them. And then there were the 100 moo cards with real cupcakes and well the wrong email address and you get the point I have 600 cards with say 30 given out some turned into magnets. So you wonder whats the point I have been back to moo and ordered some more cards maybe this time I can get it right the Sugar Toppers store with cupcake and robot pendants I can't wait till they get here.

Robots and Cupcakes with a cloud or two sprinkled in for good measure. My favorite is the little tofu bead it's two sided. Well the clouds make me happy too and the sad robot and well pretty much they all make me happy. The weather has been getting better here so I have been able to make more beads. I have some more supplies coming in the mail this week so I should have some new things up in my etsy store soon. Hope everyone had a great weekend.

1. I have two middle names. Elizabeth and Baker. Chalk it up to weird parents and a long family story.

2. I hate thunderstorms. I mean I am huge baby. At age 21 I would go stay the night with my sister and sleep on her couch if a big storm was coming because I would rather be a weenie with someone rather than be alone.

3. I have the strange and unusual ability to pick things up with my tongue and only my tongue. I even contacted Guinness book of world records once to get in but decided I did not want to be known as that girl.

4.Things I have collected old purses, cigar boxes, perfume bottles, craft crap that would reach to the moon and back and now other peoples beads.

5.My favorite Muppet is pepe the prawn.

Let it snow

This year is the first year my 3 year old daughter has asked for specific things for Christmas. The first of which was snow. We live in Texas why of all things does she have to ask for what I have no control over and which is least likely to happen? It was very cute. I just don't know if I can deliver. I put it on my list for Santa please bring snow for the little one. I doubt it will be a white Christmas but maybe we will have some flurry's by the end of the winter if we are lucky. The other thing she has requested from Santa (who she says is also going to bring me presents yippee) is a pink piano. Which Amazon daddy and I can work with just a little easier.

This weekend was one of those weekends. Everything was so busy it did not seem like much of a weekend at all. I had special orders, my nieces birthday and the cake above. Not to mention a toddler who did not want me to sleep a wink last night. I guess the saying goes all is well that ends well. Now I am off to make more cupcake beads for my Etsy store. The weather here is nice, but a cold front is suppose to come in later this week. So I have to make haste and do what I can before the garage it too cold. Hope everyone had a great weekend. Good Witch

As a child my mom always made our costumes. She would probably disown me from the family if I went to the store and bought one. Nothing against people who do of course but its just a family tradition. This year is a big year for my daughter she got to pick what she wanted to be for Halloween she said a few things a few different times but what she ended up sticking with was a good witch. I have decided to ban the bad witches for a few more years so it's a good thing she is asking to be a good one. It was very sweet she asked Mam-ma are you going to be a Good Witch too? and then she asked her dad Dad-da are you going to be a Good Witch? I have always been a procrastinator so this weekend I will be wrapping up the costume. I have already made and remade the pink skirt with yards and yards of pink tulle. I just need a top and probably a shall just in case it's cold. Wish me luck.

Exciting Week for Sugar Toppers

This week has been exciting. Sugar Toppers has been on two different blogs Earthenwood Studios and Cupcakes take the Cake. Call me lazy but a lot of time when I go to my blog I just go to Google and type in sugar toppers then find a post and log in from there. So while at work today it was a complete surprise to see a post about my Sugar Toppers on Cupcakes Take the Cake. Thank you very much ladies for making my day. In addition I got beads in the mail yesterday and today. Words can not express how cool the ceramic beads over at Earthenwood Studios are. Melanie snuck in some sweet cupcake beads and the coolest little ceramic air freshener with my Halloween stash. I adore them all. So all you cupcake lovers run don't walk to her site and check out her line of snack beads. I will have to post pictures later this week. Tonight I would like to draw your attention to the lovely photo on the left soon to be the next topper addition to my Etsy store.

It turns out I have had quite the string of luck lately. And let me tell you I rarely win anything. I won a pair of Halloween earrings from Melissa Lee, last months Art Bead Scene challenge and now this lovely stash of beads from the super talented Melanie of Earthenwood Studios. The boxes are in. I repeat the boxes are now in. LOL I have no excuse to procrastinate. I just posted two items to my Etsy shop Sugar Toppers. And when I get done posting this I am going back to post more. Here goes nothing gulp. Thanks to all the positive feedback from my family friends and the sweet ladies on the flickr groups I am taking the leap. I talk like it's a huge jump tons of people have Etsy stores heck this is my second one. I guess for some reason this one is more personal to me I have more invested in it and want it to do really well so all those hopers and wishers send one out for me.

Bumps in the road

This week I have been patiently waiting for the awaited boxes to come in. Tonight I started thinking I never received an order confirmation. So I decided to call the box company and its official the order never went though. So I replaced my order or should I say I placed my order for the first time tonight. But the good news is the company is based out of my state they will ship out tomorrow and be here by Friday. I have almost completed my first order of sugar toppers. They are for the sweetest little girls first birthday. Thanks for being my first customer Princess Grace I really hope you like your toppers. Sorry about the bad photo I will shoot another when they are all set to box up and go.

Well the boxes are officially ordered. Yipee this is exciting yet scary at the same time. I picked up some super cute filler for my boxes also. That people can resuse for thier own projects or packages at home if they want. I will post photos once they come in later this week. Sometimes it feels like I am working and working on opening up my store but not getting any closer. I work during the day a full time Job then come home to a lively 3 year old. So daily I try to squeeze as much production time into Sugar Toppers as I can. With mini production goals to get me one step closer to my ultimate goal of world domination. I will order my boxes at the end off this week. Who would have thought boxes would be such a hard item to decide on colors shapes, outside boxes FDA food safe. I ended up going with ones that I think will hold my product the best and keep them safe and sound. And I found these super cool indestructible outside shipping boxes that can hold up to 200lbs on top of them. So the the sugar can stay safe and sound inside.
